A Fortune 500 Health Insurance Provider wanted to decommissioned their legacy SQL Server pipelines to IICS using Next Pathway’s automated migration platform. The project validated automated SSIS to IICS translation, supported migration planning for more than 2,000 SSIS packages, and accelerated the customer’s broader cloud migration business case.
Next Pathway conducted a proof of concept to translate legacy SQL Server Integration Services packages into Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services equivalent pipelines. Using SHIFT automated translation technology, the project demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of cloud based ETL modernization.
The customer was pursuing a full cloud modernization initiative where SSIS migration represented a major complexity and cost challenge. Next Pathway’s automated translation approach reduced migration risk, prevented prolonged timelines, and supported faster planning for enterprise cloud adoption.
The pilot successfully translated a subset of SSIS packages into IICS pipelines, providing empirical evidence for full scale migration execution. Following the successful validation, the organization proceeded with modernization plans covering more than 2,000 SSIS packages and its core SQL Server data warehouse.
