Clara Angotti, President and Founder of Next Pathway Inc., has been nominated for the 2012 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards (CWEA). The award is an initiative of Women of Influence Inc., an award-winning organization dedicated to advancing and fulfilling the needs of Canadian women in business. Clara was nominated for her excellence in entrepreneurship in the Central region.
The RBC CWEA recognizes women entrepreneurs from across Canada who make impressive contributions to the local, Canadian or global economy. Nominees share a strong entrepreneurial vision and a relentless passion in pursing their dreams. These awards recognize business women from three major regions across Canada: East, Central and West.
“It’s with great pride that RBC celebrates the achievements of these extraordinary business women,” says Andrea Bolger, executive vice president, Business Financial Services, RBC. “Their entrepreneurial accomplishments present a significant contribution to the business community, and reflect their passion for success and vision in leadership.”
Over 3,500 women entrepreneurs were nominated for the Awards, highlighting the extraordinary number of accomplished, successful and influential women in Canada. Candidates were required to complete a thorough application; a prominent Canadian judging panel of business leaders reviewed all qualifying applications. Following the due diligence process carried out by Deloitte’s Private Client Services, the winners will be selected by the judges and announced on November 28th at the Gala.
“We are proud to celebrate the most inspiring women entrepreneurs in Canada,” said Carolyn Lawrence, president and CEO, Women of Influence Inc. “By recognizing them at the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award Gala, we hope to build their success, provide exposure for Canada’s diverse array of entrepreneurial talent, and provide more female role models for future leaders.”
